Aquaponic System
Description
The 2-450 1-RAFT+NFT
is a hybrid system that utilizes both the RAFT and NFT
methods. The raft tank is used for growing plants and provides the large bio-filter
and the NFT increases the total number of plants that can be
grown.
Some of the plants are grown in the connected raft
tank and the balance are grown in the NFT channels.
Configuration:
The main culture components include 2 - 450 gallon fish
tanks, 1- 8' x 32' raft tank and 1-8'x12' NFT area for growing plants and a
carefully designed filtration system that creates a healthy
environment for the plants, fish and beneficial bacteria.
